When: March 23, from 18:00 to 21:00 (Bulgarian time).
The facilitator of this event is – Vasil Spasov. Here is how Vasil describes the workshop himself: When you are alone on stage and have to do the work that is usually done by four actors, when you don’t have even a second to think and must continuously generate new ideas one after another, you encounter your creativity in its purest form. The good news is that creativity can be trained and this is exactly the goal of this workshop.

During the workshop we will focus on: • how to trust intuition and the body more than the mind; • how to stay fully present in the flow; • how to distribute physical and emotional energy; • how to use your body and the space around you.

We will explore variations of several short forms and ways of working with a story through the perspective of one actor. Solo playback can become a powerful rehearsal tool for a group or, as they say in sports: if you lift 200 kg during training, you will lift 100 kg in competition without difficulty.
Vasil Spasov (Bulgaria) is a professional actor, director, and playback theatre trainer. He was a member of the playback theatre “Here and Now”, is the founder of “Voices of Sofia” – a street playback format, and a co-founder of the playback theatre “Why Not.” He has experimented with various playback formats including duo, solo, street performances, and “Cinematic Playback” (online).
